真田幸村の活躍ぶりは猿飛佐助、霧隠才蔵をはじめとする真田十勇士の伝説などで有名です。本名を「信繁」といい、信濃上田城主・真田昌幸の次男として生まれました。父の昌幸は、豊臣秀吉に『表裏比興の者』と評された人物で、自分の才覚だけを頼りに小大名ながら、戦国時代を生き抜いてきました。幸村は真田家のために上杉・豊臣家に人質として出されています。

1600年、関ヶ原の合戦がおこると、昌幸と幸村は石田三成の西軍につきます。同年9月5日、真田親子は中山道を通り関ヶ原へと急いでいた徳川秀忠軍３万８千を釘付けにし、ついには主戦場への到着を遅れさせると言う大戦果をあげました。

大坂夏の陣では、真田軍はわずかの兵で、家康の本陣まで攻め込み、真田軍の凄まじさに家康は自害を覚悟したほどだったといわれています。伊達正宗の騎馬鉄砲隊を、長柄槍隊を地面に伏せながら闘う戦法で撃滅、「関東勢百万と候え、男はひとりもなく候」と
徳川軍を嘲笑しながら馬に乗り、悠然と撤収したそうです。

Sanada Yukimura 's first success is Sarutobi Sasuke, famous for the legend of Tadashi Sanada and the others who are the first Kirisame Takarashi. My real name is called "Shigure", I was born as the second son of Shinano Ueda castle and Masayuki Shinada. At the team of Osaka Natsu, the Sanada Army is a small soldier, attacking Ieyasu's Honjin, and it is said that Ieyasu was ready for self-suffering due to the seriousness of the Sanada Army. It was destroyed by the tactics of fighting the horse racing god of Date Masamune while fighting the long-sized jersey on the ground, "Kanto force is one million and it seems that there is no man"
While ridding the Tokugawa army, he ridden a horse and seems to have withdrawn gradually.
